RE/MAX and Children’s Miracle Network
The power of many to make a difference. That is the true secret behind the RE/MAX® relationship with Children’s Miracle Network. The individual donations of thousands of Associates amount to millions of dollars each year for children’s hospitals. In total, more than $100 million has been raised since RE/MAX became a supporter of Children’s Miracle Network in 1992.

The most effective fundraising tool is the Miracle Home® program, whereby Associates make a contribution to Children’s Miracle Network with each closed transaction. Many RE/MAX offices are so passionate about the Children’s Miracle Network mission that they go above and beyond. From organizing golf tournaments to hosting art auctions, their efforts prove the simple principle that actions speak louder than words. They have learned that genuine compassion in life directly corresponds to meaningful success in business. At RE/MAX, it’s called Premier Community Citizenship—performing ordinary acts of extraordinary generosity.

In Canada, RE/MAX continues to be a strong corporate contributor to Children’s Miracle Network – $3.5 million in 2009. With funds contributed by national sponsors like RE/MAX, affiliated hospitals are able to provide needed medical care and equipment for more than 2.6 million Canadian children each year.

RE/MAX truly creates miracles for the children treated at Children’s Miracle Network hospitals. Vinnie Tracey, retired President of RE/MAX International, spoke for many when he said, “I’m proud to be affiliated with Children’s Miracle Network and every year make a personal gift. At RE/MAX, we believe that giving back is the right thing to do.”

The Miracle Home Program
The Miracle Home® program, exclusive to RE/MAX International, Inc., began in 1991 as a vehicle for sales associates to give back to the children and families in the communities in which they live and serve. RE/MAX sales associates also raised funds by helping with many other fund raising events.

What is Children’s Miracle Network?
Children’s Miracle Network is both an international non-profit organization and the name of its annual 21-hour broadcast. CMN’s mission is to generate funds and awareness programs to benefit children and 160 associated hospitals/foundations for children in the United States, Canada and Mexico. CMN’s hallmark is that 100 percent of locally-generated donations stay in the community in which they were made to benefit participating hospitals. The hospitals/foundations associated with CMN treat children with all types of afflictions.

RE/MAX and CMN – A Match with a Purpose
RE/MAX has a proven blueprint for success. One of the components of that blueprint is the involvement of Associates within their communities. We know and understand that community involvement contributes to increased business for our Associates. We call it Premier Community Citizenship.

Children’s Miracle Network is an international organization wherein 100% of the funds raised stay within their communities. Likewise, RE/MAX is an international business where success depends upon the sum of many local successes. Our mutual involvement on a local level builds a natural affinity for our business interests. As a corporate sponsor of CMN, we enhance our role as local community citizens and as members of the global community. While improving the health of our society, we touch the local RE/MAX Associate and his or her community.

Here in Winnipeg, RE/MAX professionals’ office at 1601 Buffalo Place in a qualified Miracle Office.  This designation applies to an office where 100% of the Sales Associates in that office annually contribute a portion of the commissions earned on every transaction they complete during the year.  RE/MAX professionals’ single office at 1601 Buffalo Place was recognized for contributions to the Winnipeg Children’s Hospital over the past years totaling in excess of $500,000.00.

Ted’s Run for Literacy was established in 2010 following the death of Ted Swain on May 3rd, 2009. Ted was a passionate teacher of English at Vincent Massey Collegiate in Winnipeg. He was also a kind and generous running coach who nurtured hundreds of novice runners. Ted is remembered fondly by the running community with whom he identified to his last step. To date, Ted’s Run for Literacy has raised approximately $25,000 to help break the cycle of childhood poverty. Indeed, we are the little race that could.
